Product Overview

The HM3932 Battery Activator is a professional maintenance device that restores the capacity of aged lead-acid batteries through a controlled charge-discharge process. It is primarily used to extend battery lifespan and enhance power supply reliability. This tester functions as a discharge load for offline batteries, achieving constant-current discharge at preset values by continuously adjusting the discharge current.

Application Scenarios

1. Telecommunications Industry: Backup battery banks for communication base stations and data center equipment rooms.

2. Power Systems: DC operating power systems and UPS batteries for substations and power plants.

3. Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS): Backup batteries for UPS systems in data centers, hospitals, and financial centers.

4. New Energy and Energy Storage: Energy storage batteries for solar and wind power generation systems.

5. Transportation: Backup batteries for signaling systems and emergency lighting in railways, subways, and airports.

Features & Advantages

Utilizes high-power wire-wound resistors for more stable and rapid discharge currents.

Features a USB port to transfer charging/discharging data to a USB drive for importing into a PC. PC data management software analyzes battery discharge processes and generates corresponding data reports, facilitating data transfer.

Incorporates intelligent ARM microcontroller control with a 7-inch touchscreen LCD displaying Chinese and English interfaces. Menu operations are simple and intuitive.

Automatic protection functions: automatically halts discharge and triggers an alarm when any of the following conditions occur: preset charge/discharge duration reached, preset charge/discharge capacity reached, battery voltage falls below the minimum protection threshold, or abnormal load connection detected. The system also automatically records the shutdown method.

Multiple charge/discharge termination conditions, including battery pack termination voltage, discharge capacity, and discharge time, ensure safe discharge testing.

Supports setting up to 10 automatic discharge-charge cycles.

Maintenance & FAQs

Q: What is this device used for?

A: It is a "battery doctor." Primarily used to restore aged lead-acid batteries, it removes crystallization from the plates through specific charge-discharge cycles, restoring battery capacity and extending its lifespan.

Q: What does "activation" mean?

A: It refers to the process of "reviving" the battery by breaking down lead sulfate crystals on the plates-which cause performance degradation-through controlled charge-discharge cycles. This targets batteries that have aged due to sulfation.

Q: Is it complicated to operate?

A: Extremely simple. Basic process: Connect battery -> Select program (e.g., "Activation") -> One-touch start -> Automatic completion. The device operates fully automatically without manual intervention.

Q: Which batteries can be activated?

A: Primarily suitable for lead-acid batteries (e.g., sealed, flooded types). Ineffective for batteries with physical damage (e.g., broken plates, short circuits) or completely dried-out batteries.

Q: How long does a single activation take?

A: It takes a relatively long time, typically 10-20 hours. This is because multiple charge-discharge cycles are required to gradually restore the battery.

 Precautions:

1. Safety First: Operate in a well-ventilated area, away from sparks or open flames (charging may produce explosive gases).

2. Proper Connection: Connect the device first, then the battery. Red wire to positive terminal (+), black wire to negative terminal (-).

3. No Smoking or Open Flames!
