Product Overview
The HM6030B surge arrester counter is a high-voltage electrical device designed to monitor the discharge operation of surge arresters. Its construction comprises a non-linear resistor, an electromagnetic counter, and several electronic components. Under normal operating voltage, the leakage current flowing through the counter is extremely low, and the counter remains inactive. When the arrester experiences lightning transients, switching transients, or power frequency overvoltages, a substantial working current flows through the counter's non-linear resistor. This current undergoes DC conversion, discharging the electromagnetic coil and causing the counter to actuate once. This mechanism enables the device to measure the number of arrester operations.
