Thai Delegation Visits Goldhome, Focusing on Core High-Voltage Series Resonance Equipment

Recently, a delegation representing Thailand's power sector visited Godhome Hipotfor an inspection tour. The company's General Manager, accompanied by the technical team, warmly received the distinguished guests. During the day-long visit, Guodian Huamei's independently developed high-voltage series resonance test apparatus became the focal point of the delegation's attention throughout the tour. Both parties engaged in in-depth discussions regarding the product's technical specifications, application scenarios, and international standards.

At the product exhibition hall and high-voltage testing facility, the Thai delegation examined multiple sets of series resonant equipment slated for export to Southeast Asian markets. Technical engineers provided detailed on-site explanations and functional demonstrations of the equipment for the visitors.

Within the series resonant testing zone, a 2000kVA/800kV frequency-modulated series resonant test system captured the clients' keen interest. Technical engineers demonstrated the core components: the variable frequency control cabinet, excitation transformer, high-voltage reactor bank, capacitive voltage divider, and full suite of accessories.

The reactor section drew the longest attention. The technical engineer explained: Our reactors employ dry epoxy resin vacuum casting technology, delivering exceptional interlayer insulation performance with a quality factor (Q-value) exceeding 80. This significantly reduces the required test power supply capacity." Clients scrutinised the reactors' surface finish, terminal connections, and heat dissipation structures, commending the equipment's compact design and lightweight construction.

At the variable-frequency control cabinet, engineers demonstrated the unit's automatic tuning and withstand voltage testing capabilities. The touchscreen interface displayed real-time frequency, voltage, current, and Q-value curves. The equipment automatically located the resonance point within 30 seconds and stably output the test voltage. 'This control system employs a DSP+FPGA architecture with a frequency resolution of 0.01Hz and strong voltage fluctuation suppression capabilities, making it particularly suitable for on-site testing of large-capacity specimens such as long cables and GIS,' the engineer explained while operating the equipment.

The client also inquired in detail about the protection system configuration. The engineer explained that the equipment incorporates multiple protective functions including overvoltage, overcurrent, flashover, and discharge protection. Should a breakdown or flashover occur during testing, the device can interrupt the output within microseconds, ensuring the safety of both the test specimen and personnel.

Regarding data management, the engineer demonstrated the automatic test report generation function. The equipment records key parameters such as voltage, frequency, and duration in real time during testing. Upon completion, a single click generates test reports compliant with IEC 60870 and domestic standards, which can be exported to a USB drive or uploaded to a backend management system.

As a National High-Tech Enterprise, Godhome Hipot has specialised in high-voltage testing for nearly two decades, developing eight major product series including series resonant test systems, impulse voltage generators, high-current generators, and insulation testing equipment. The company's R&D team comprises multiple senior engineers in high-voltage electrical engineering and maintains industry-academia-research collaborations with several renowned domestic universities, continuously driving technological innovation. Within the series resonant technology domain, the company holds multiple invention patents and software copyrights. Its product portfolio encompasses three major series: power frequency series resonant, frequency-modulated series resonant, and variable inductance series resonant, with voltage ratings spanning 10kV to 1000kV. These solutions meet testing requirements across diverse sectors including power systems, rail transit, petrochemicals, and metallurgical mining.
