Battery Charge Discharge Comprehensive Test

Battery Charge Discharge Comprehensive Test

Batteries play an extremely vital role within the system as a standby power source. Under normal conditions, batteries remain in a float-charged standby state. Should an AC power failure or other fault condition occur, the batteries become the sole energy supplier for the load. To verify the standby duration and actual capacity of the battery bank, ensuring the system's normal operation, capacity verification discharge tests must be conducted periodically or as required, in accordance with the power system maintenance regulations. The HM3986 features comprehensive protection functions, including not only audible and visual alarms but also clear interface prompts.

product Features

•The unit features a USB port enabling discharge process data to be saved onto a USB drive, which can then be imported into a PC.

  • Utilises intelligent ARM microcontroller-based control with a 7-inch 1024×600 high-definition LCD display and capacitive touch operation for straightforward, intuitive handling.
  • Incorporates automatic protection shutdown functionality, including over-temperature, over-voltage, over-current, and reverse connection protection. Upon triggering any alarm condition, the display presents corresponding warning prompts while automatically tripping the air circuit breaker.
  • Configurable charge/discharge termination conditions include: low individual cell voltage, low/high overall voltage, insufficient charging current, elapsed charge/discharge time, or specified charge/discharge capacity. Upon meeting any condition, the device automatically halts testing with an audible alert and logs the cessation reason.
  • Performs online compensated charging/discharging. By connecting an external current clamp sensor, it enables discharge testing of batteries in operation, greatly facilitating testing. This function is particularly suitable for scenarios with only a single backup battery bank.
  • Features RS485 remote control for charging, discharging, and activation functions.
  • Supports multi-unit parallel charging, discharging, and activation. Configuration is performed via the master unit's display screen, with slave units automatically distributing power and executing start/stop commands according to master instructions.
