Maintenance

1 Failure to Power On

  • Inspect the connection between the instrument and lithium battery. The battery voltage may be too low to power on; the instrument battery may require charging or replacement.
  • The current battery capacity is displayed in the top-right corner of the instrument screen. When the battery is at , the instrument requires charging.
  • Charging Function:

1) Insert the adapter into the battery charger port and connect the adapter's power supply to an AC mains socket. The adapter's red indicator light illuminates during charging.

2) When the adapter's green light illuminates, charging is complete.

3) Maximum charging time is 6 to 8 hours; avoid overcharging.

• If the instrument shows no response and cannot be switched off, open the battery compartment cover, remove the battery, reinsert it, then power on.

• Should the touchscreen prove unresponsive, recalibrate it via 'System Management'.

• When prompted to 'Reinsert Memory Card', eject and reinsert the card or replace it if damaged.

• During prolonged inactivity, the instrument will automatically dim the LCD or power down. Tap the touchscreen or any button to reactivate. Sleep and backlight timeouts are configurable.

2 .Test prompt: 'Please check battery clip connection

  • Ensure the battery clip is securely connected to the battery terminals. The tested battery voltage must not be below 1.5V.

3 Test probe needle bent or fails to retract

  • Replace the probe needle as follows:

1) Grasp the needle at the top of the sleeve with pliers;

2) Avoid gripping the sleeve containing the probe tip to prevent damage.

3) Pull the probe tip straight out;

4) Using pliers, grip the new probe tip and insert it into the sleeve;

5) Push the probe tip against a soft surface, such as cardboard, until it contacts the bottom of the sleeve.
