The HM2010 Insulation Resistance Tester is composed of medium- and large-scale integrated circuits. It operates by using the internal battery as a power source; the DC high voltage generated by a DC/DC converter is output from the E terminal, passes through the device under test, and reaches the L terminal, thereby generating a current from the E terminal to the L terminal. This current is converted to voltage via an I/V converter and processed by a divider, and the measured insulation resistance value is directly displayed on the LCD.

Automatic discharge function

When measuring the insulation resistance of capacitive loads, the instrument automatically discharges the stored charge after the measurement. The discharge status can be confirmed in voltage mode.

Automatic shutdown function

To prevent battery drain caused by forgetting to turn off the instrument, it will automatically shut down if no operation is performed for 10 minutes after a measurement.
