Portable RC High Voltage Divider

Portable RC High Voltage Divider

The HMFRC RC-type voltage divider is a high-voltage measurement device that employs an RC-type potential-equalized shielded voltage divider. It is primarily used for measuring pulsed high voltage, lightning high voltage, and power-frequency high voltage. It is the preferred choice for replacing high-voltage static RC-type voltage dividers. Featuring simple operation, intuitive display, high accuracy, compact size, and light weight, it serves as ideal equipment for high-voltage measurement in power plants, substations, high-voltage electrical equipment manufacturing plants, and high-voltage testing laboratories.

Precautions

1. During operation, no debris should be present within 2 meters of RC voltage dividers rated below 100 kV (3 meters for 150 kV–200 kV RC voltage dividers, and 4 meters for 300 kV RC voltage dividers). The distances between instruments, RC voltage dividers, and personnel should be determined in accordance with the power industry's operating procedures for RC voltage dividers. Our company recommends maintaining a minimum safe operating distance of 5–6 meters. Handle the equipment with care; avoid impacts, crushing, or other forms of damage. This ensures the equipment remains in optimal condition and facilitates testing operations.

2. This RC voltage divider should be stored in a dry environment. After use, return it to its aluminum alloy case to prevent moisture absorption.

3. If a distinct discharge sound is heard, it indicates that the standard RC voltage divider may have absorbed moisture. Use a dry hair dryer to blow air from top to bottom for 1–2 minutes.

4. After completing an AC test, the dedicated display meter will not return to zero immediately but will decrease slowly. This is due to the use of true RMS measurement; the return-to-zero time is generally 10–15 minutes. If the meter does not return to zero completely, it does not affect measurement accuracy. Although AC does not have "positive" or 'negative' polarity, the meter still displays a "-" sign during AC testing. This is a negative signal output designed by the TMS conversion chip to enhance resistance to electromagnetic interference and does not affect measurement accuracy. Additionally, during AC measurements, repeated measurements without resetting the meter will not affect accuracy.
