The HM5002-50A instrument employs cutting-edge power supply technology, featuring a compact size, lightweight design, wide measurement range, robust interference resistance, comprehensive protection functions, and a large-screen colour LCD display. Controlled by a microcontroller, the unit automatically performs self-checks and data processing, incorporating automatic discharge and discharge indication capabilities. Offering high measurement accuracy and straightforward operation, it enables rapid direct resistance measurement.

1. The tester has 7 levels of output current (maximum: 50A; minimum: <5mA), which is suitable for DC resistance measurement of a variety of transformers and mutual inductors.

2. The measurement range of the tester is 40μΩ to 100KΩ.

3. The tester has a higher response speed. The on-load tap switch can be directly enabled during measurement, and the tester will automatically refresh data.

4. The tester has the function of sound discharge alarm and clear discharge indication, to reduce misoperation.

1. U+, U-: Voltage input terminals, red being positive, black being negative;

2. I+, I-: Current output/input terminals, red being positive, black being negative;

3. LCD: 7-inch colour liquid crystal display, showing menus, current and resistance values, etc.;

4. Printer: Micro printer, printing test results in real time;

5. RS485: Communication interface between the instrument and host computer;

6. USB port: Interface for connecting the instrument to a USB flash drive;

7. Three-in-one power socket: Instrument power control switch. When connected to a three-core power cable, slide the switch button on the left side of the power socket to the ON position (' ▏ ') to power on the instrument;

8. Grounding terminal: For grounding the entire instrument housing, serving as a protective earth;

9. Confirm key: When the cursor is positioned over any menu on the main interface, pressing this key enters the corresponding submenu. For example, with the cursor on the DC resistance test menu, pressing this key enters the DC resistance test current selection interface;

Test wiring:

 

    Connect the test specimen to the terminal blocks of this unit via the dedicated test lead, ensuring a secure connection, and simultaneously connect the earth lead.

   When measuring the low-voltage side of large-capacity transformers, if the maximum current of the DC resistance tester is relatively low under existing conditions, or to expedite the measurement process, the auxiliary magnetisation method may be employed. In the diagram above, Figures 3, 4, and 5 illustrate the wiring configurations for measuring low-voltage Rac, Rba, and Rcb respectively.
