Functional characteristics

 

1.Measure the transformer load current, load loss, short-circuit voltage, short circuit (load) losses, capability.

Q: How long does a single test take?

A: Very fast. Single-phase measurements typically complete in 3-5 minutes, while three-phase transformers take about 10-15 minutes.

Q: How are test results interpreted?

A:

The instrument directly displays the "determined capacity" (e.g., 315 kVA). Compare this with the nameplate capacity or declared capacity:

Match: Pass.

Measured value > Declared value: Suspected power theft (over-capacity usage).

Measured value < Nameplate value: Possible nameplate mislabeling or transformer malfunction.
