HM5003 Transformer Capacity Loss Tester Setting Introduction Video
Product Overview & Application Scenarios

The HM5003 transformer capacity tester is a professional field testing device that can quickly and accurately measure the rated capacity of a transformer without applying a large current. This product features a wide-screen color LCD display in English, with simple and quick menu operation and a user-friendly interface. The instrument has a built-in rechargeable battery, allowing it to operate without an external power supply. A full charge allows for continuous measurement of over 100 transformers. This is a multi-functional measuring instrument, equivalent to the functions of two ordinary instruments: a transformer capacity tester and a transformer parameter tester. It can be used to test transformer capacity, type, no-load current, no-load loss, load loss, impedance voltage, and other parameters.

Interface Overview
1.Operating Panel Diagram
The operating panel of this instrument is shown in Figure 1: It includes a printer, LCD screen, keyboard, capacity test connection ports, characteristic test terminals, and data upload communication interfaces.

2. Main Menu
After turning on the power switch, the device automatically enters the main menu interface (Figure 2).
The main menu primarily includes five functions: "Capacity Test," "No-Load Loss," "Load Loss," "Management Query," and "System Settings." Users can select the desired function using the "↑" and "↓" keys, then press the "Confirm" key to enter. Simultaneously, the instrument accurately displays the current system time based on its internal clock chip.

3.Wiring Method
Wiring Method for Measuring Short-Circuit Losses of Single-Phase Transformers Using a Single-Phase Power Supply
The wiring configuration is essentially identical to that used for measuring no-load losses of single-phase transformers with a single-phase power supply. Refer to Figures 3, 4, and 5. The only difference is that during short-circuit loss testing, the high-voltage side is typically designated as the test terminal, while the low-voltage side serves as the non-test terminal. Additionally, the non-test terminal requires manual short-circuiting.
