The HM2671 megohmmeter is constructed using medium- and large-scale integrated circuits. This meter features high output power, high short-circuit current, and multiple output voltage levels (each model offers four voltage levels).

The operating principle involves using the internal battery as a power source to generate high-voltage DC through a DC/DC converter. This voltage is applied from the E terminal through the device under test to the L terminal, thereby generating a current from E to L. After I/V conversion and processing via a divider, the measured insulation resistance value is directly displayed on the LCD.

• High-strength aluminum alloy housing with equipotential protection ring and fourth-order active low-pass filter – effectively shields against external power-frequency and strong electromagnetic fields.
• When measuring capacitive DUTs, output short-circuit current >1.6 mA ensures test voltage rapidly rises to the rated value.
