The HMGTU-500kV-800kV Intelligent Integrated Test Control System is an intelligent control system designed for testing high-voltage electrical equipment. It is primarily used to retrofit and upgrade the existing GTU 800kV/400kVA and GTU 500kV/250kVA systems. Following the upgrade, the system can be used for routine and impulse tests on GIS-VT (voltage transformers) and equalizing capacitors with a system nominal voltage of 550 kV or below.

Q: Does the system support remote control?

A: Yes. Fiber-optic communication is used between the industrial control computer and the PLC control cabinet, allowing remote operation of the isolation and grounding switches on the GTU-250/500 unit from the control room in the 1000 kV test hall.

Q: How can the existing 500 kV equipment be upgraded?

A:Upgrade the original transfer switches and relay control system to a PLC field control cabinet and industrial control computer system, and add control of the bus ducts to enable remote operation and status monitoring from the control room in the 1000 kV test hall.

Q: How are the phase-changing switches for the 145 kV three-phase bays operated?

A: The isolation grounding switches can be operated simultaneously for all three phases or individually; refer to the manual for detailed wiring diagrams. Power frequency withstand voltage: 395 kV (5 min); partial discharge level: less than 3 pC (at 395 kV).

Q: How is the switch status determined?

A: On the HMI: red indicates the closed position, green indicates the open position, and gray indicates the position is not fully engaged. The control console is also equipped with switch status indicator lights.
