  Recently, the Goldhome HMGTU-300KVA-500KV Power Frequency Test Transformer Complete Test System has been undergoing on-site installation and commissioning at a customer's facility in Pingdingshan, Henan. Currently, all installation work is proceeding in an orderly manner, the system is operating stably during commissioning, and the on-site partial discharge (PD) test results have reached 3 pC, fully demonstrating the performance of this complete power frequency test transformer system in high-voltage testing and low partial discharge testing.

500 kV Power Frequency Test System Enters On-Site Commissioning

 

  The HMGTU-300KVA-500KV configured for this project is a complete power frequency test transformer system designed to meet the testing requirements of high-voltage equipment, with a rated capacity of 300 kVA and a rated voltage of 500 kV.

 

The equipment is primarily used for power-frequency withstand voltage tests and related high-voltage testing of high-voltage electrical equipment, providing a reliable high-voltage test power source for power equipment manufacturing, factory acceptance testing, type testing, and on-site inspections.

 

After the equipment arrived at the customer's site in Pingdingshan, Goldhome's technical engineers conducted a comprehensive inspection of the system and, based on the on-site conditions, completed the equipment installation, wiring, control system checks, and trial operation.

 

Partial Discharge Level Reaches 3 pC

 

  During this on-site commissioning process, partial discharge performance was one of the key verification items.

 

In high-voltage testing equipment, the partial discharge level is a critical indicator for evaluating the insulation performance of the equipment and the design quality of the high-voltage system. A lower partial discharge level reduces interference from the test system itself on the test results, providing a more reliable testing environment for detecting partial discharges and evaluating the insulation performance of the test specimen.

 During the on-site commissioning of the HMGTU-300KVA-500KV system, the partial discharge test value reached 3 pC.

 

  The on-site test result of 3 pC demonstrates the system's capability to reduce its own partial discharge interference, optimize the high-voltage insulation structure, and enhance the overall performance of the test system, while also providing favorable test conditions for subsequent high-voltage equipment testing.

 

It should be noted that partial discharge test results are influenced by various factors, including test voltage, measurement systems, environmental noise, grounding methods, test wiring, and on-site electromagnetic interference; therefore, actual test data should be evaluated in conjunction with specific test conditions and acceptance criteria.
