Product Overview
The HM6050 Cable Fault Tester is a specialized system designed and manufactured for testing faults in power cables. It is primarily used to test for open-circuit, short-circuit, ground, low-resistance, high-resistance flashover, and high-resistance leakage faults in power cables, as well as to accurately test for open-circuit and short-circuit faults in coaxial communication cables and local telephone cables; It can also measure propagation velocity and cable length, and establish cable records for routine maintenance and management [1†L5-L7]. The product employs state-of-the-art Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR) technology, featuring automatic fault waveform distance determination that is simple and intuitive. The unit is housed in an industrial-grade black protective case with an IP67 protection rating, making it compact, elegant, and easy to carry.
Key Features & Advantages
- Wide Range of Fault Types: Suitable for various types of faults in power cables rated at 35 kV and below, including different voltage levels, cross-sections, media, and materials, such as open circuits, short circuits, low-resistance faults, high-resistance leakage faults, and high-resistance flashover faults.
- Diverse Testing Methods: When used in conjunction with high-voltage equipment, it supports traditional cable fault testing methods such as the low-voltage pulse method, impulse flashover method, triple-pulse method, multiple-pulse method, and velocity measurement method.
- Display and Operation: Features an industrial-grade 10.4-inch color touchscreen LCD display, with fully Chinese-language operating software and user interface; submenu navigation and text prompts facilitate human-machine interaction.
- Convenient Waveform Analysis: Global and local waveforms are displayed simultaneously, facilitating overall analysis and detailed adjustments; any high-resistance fault exhibits waveform characteristics similar to those of a low-voltage pulse short-circuit fault, making it extremely easy to interpret; when using the multiple-pulse method, the interface simultaneously captures eight real waveforms, further facilitating interpretation and reducing testing errors.
- Power Supply and Portability: Powered by a built-in battery, it can be used for extended periods even in environments without an external power source; Designed with an industrial-grade black safety case featuring an IP67 protection rating; compact, lightweight, and easy to use.
- Performance and Storage: Stable performance in any environment with no system crashes; high-voltage protection measures ensure safe signal acquisition; built-in storage and retrieval functions allow for convenient saving and recall of data and waveforms for reanalysis; test signals offer multiple pulse widths with no testing blind spots.
