In the safe operation of power systems, high-voltage testers serve as a "lifeline" for verifying the energized status of equipment and ensuring the safety of personnel. The diversity of product types directly impacts their suitability for different application scenarios. Leveraging over a decade of expertise in high-voltage testing technology, Wuhan Goldhome Hipot Electric Co., Ltd. has developed a high-voltage testing product line that covers multiple technical approaches and voltage levels. This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the main classifications of Goldhome high-voltage testers.

Multi-Technology Integrated Diagnostic Systems
In the high-end high-voltage testing sector, Goldhome has launched the HMGTU series of AC high-voltage test kits, a comprehensive diagnostic system that integrates gas-based partial discharge detection. This product type combines Ultra-High Frequency (UHF) and ultrasonic detection technologies, supplemented by gas composition analysis, thereby overcoming the limitations of single-method detection. Laboratory tests have confirmed that this system can effectively identify four typical discharge types: corona discharge, metal particle discharge, internal gap discharge, and suspended potential discharge.

This system supports an output voltage range of 50 kV to 300 kV (customizable to over 1,000 kV), with a waveform distortion rate below 3% and accuracy reaching Class 0.5. Equipped with a PC-based control system, it can generate phase-resolved partial discharge (PRPD) spectra and automatically identify discharge types, significantly reducing reliance on on-site experts. Its SF6 gas compatibility design makes it particularly suitable for evaluating the insulation condition of GIS equipment.

High-Voltage Output Test Systems
To meet the needs of dielectric strength testing for insulation materials and power frequency dielectric strength testing for electrical equipment, Goldhome has developed the HM-YDJ series of high-voltage test transformers. Depending on the insulation medium, this product line is subdivided into four types: oil-immersed, gas-insulated (SF6), dry-type, and insulated cylinder-type.

  • Oil-immersed: High capacity, cost-effective, and easy to maintain; the mainstream product in the market
  • Gas-insulated (SF6): Excellent arc-quenching performance, lightweight, long service life, and maintenance-free
  • Dry-type: Compact size, lightweight, capable of inverted operation, and suitable for air transport
  • Insulated Cylinder Type: Features an epoxy-cast cylinder housing, with a maximum single-unit voltage of up to 750 kV.

This series offers output voltages ranging from 50 kV to 10,000 kV and capacities from 3 kVA to 10,000 kVA. Equipped with an intelligent control console, it provides overvoltage and overcurrent protection, zero-position verification, and automatic timed voltage reduction functions.
