HMCXZ-176kVA/44kV Variable-Frequency Series Resonance Test System Successfully Completes On-Site Testing, Ensuring the Safe Operation of High-Voltage Power Equipment with Leading Technology
Recently, the HMCXZ-176kVA/44kV variable-frequency series resonance test set, independently developed by Wuhan Goldhome Electrical Co., Ltd. was successfully delivered to the project site and successfully completed the AC withstand voltage test for high-voltage power equipment. The smooth execution of this on-site test fully demonstrates Goldhome 's deep technical expertise and efficient on-site service capabilities in the field of series resonance test sets.

Precision Targeting: Solving Core Challenges in High-Voltage Testing
The HMCXZ series of variable-frequency series resonance test units is a core product designed and manufactured by Goldhome for AC withstand voltage testing of high-voltage electrical equipment such as cross-linked cables, hydroelectric generators, main transformers, busbars, and GIS (gas-insulated switchgear). The unit utilizes variable-frequency technology to adjust the output frequency, causing the inductance in the test circuit and the capacitance of the test specimen to resonate in series at a specific frequency. This enables the generation of high voltages with relatively low power supply capacity, thereby efficiently testing the insulation performance of electrical equipment.
The HMCXZ-176kVA/44kV, a proven model in this series, primarily consists of a frequency-conversion controlled power supply, an excitation transformer, reactors, a capacitive voltage divider, and optional compensation capacitors. The reactors are designed as separate units that can be flexibly combined in series or parallel configurations, enabling the unit to meet both high-voltage, low-current testing requirements and AC withstand voltage testing needs across different voltage levels.
Outstanding Performance, Setting the Industry Technical Benchmark
The HMCXZ-176kVA/44kV excels in core performance. The unit employs imported power components as the core of its power conversion system, ensuring stable voltage and frequency output, a well-designed electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) system, and comprehensive protection functions. Its automatic tuning function is powerful: it automatically sweeps frequencies from 30 Hz to 300 Hz and displays the sweep curve, allowing users to visually observe the system's tuning process. Upon completion of the sweep, the system performs a fine-tuning sweep within ±5 Hz of the resonance frequency with a resolution of 0.01 Hz, ultimately locking onto the resonance frequency with precision.
In terms of waveform quality, the resonant power supply acts as a natural resonant filter circuit, effectively reducing output voltage waveform distortion to produce a pure sine wave output with a waveform distortion rate of ≤1.0%. Regarding safety protection, the unit features multiple safeguards-including zero-point protection, overvoltage protection, overcurrent protection, and flashover protection-ensuring the system's reliability.
