Wuhan Goldhome Hipot 2000A High-Current Generator Deployed to Shandong for On-Site Testing

Recently, the 2000A high-current generator independently developed by Wuhan Goldhome Hipot Electrical Co., Ltd. successfully arrived at the site of a key power project in Shandong Province, where it successfully completed equipment temperature rise tests and current load tests. The successful implementation of these on-site tests marks another significant milestone in Goldhome Hipot's deep engagement in the domestic market and its commitment to serving the construction of the national power grid with high-quality testing equipment.

Precisely Meeting the Needs of Shandong's Large-Scale Power Grid Construction

Currently, Shandong Province is in a critical phase of accelerating the upgrade of its power infrastructure. On June 30, 2026, the Caozhou 1,000-kilovolt Ultra-High Voltage (UHV) Main Transformer Expansion Project in Shandong successfully commenced power transmission. As the first UHV project in Shandong to be successfully commissioned during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, the project will double the total capacity of the Caozhou UHV substation upon its commissioning. Meanwhile, construction is proceeding at full speed on the world's first UHV project dedicated to transmitting power from a nuclear power plant-the 1,000-kilovolt Haiyang Xin'an Nuclear Power Transmission UHV Project-which is scheduled for completion in October 2026. On July 3, the expansion project of the 500-kilovolt Rulin Substation in Jining, Shandong, was completed and put into operation, marking the successful conclusion of State Grid Shandong Electric Power Company's three key 500-kilovolt summer peak-load grid construction projects this year.

In addition, a number of key projects-including the capacity expansion and renovation of the Qingdao Hushan 220-kilovolt substation and the expansion of the main transformer at the Yuncheng 500-kilovolt substation-are also proceeding simultaneously. Shandong Province has already built China's largest provincial-level AC/DC hybrid power grid, comprising "five AC lines, four DC lines, and one ring network." By the end of the 15th Five-Year Plan period, it will be the first in the country to complete the construction of the largest provincial-level, highly resilient, three-dimensional AC double-ring network.

Against this backdrop, the demand for verifying the temperature rise performance of power equipment-such as newly constructed substations, transmission lines, and switching equipment-has surged significantly. Jinhao Hipot's deployment of its 2,000A high-current generator to the Shandong site was specifically designed to precisely address the urgent need for equipment quality testing in regional power grid construction.

Outstanding Performance, Meeting Rigorous On-Site Testing Requirements

The 2,000A high-current generator used for on-site testing in Shandong is one of Jinhao Hipot's core testing devices developed in-house. With a continuously adjustable rated output current ranging from 0 to 2,000A, a maximum output voltage of 8V, and a continuous output duration of up to 120 minutes, the device fully meets the requirements for long-duration temperature rise testing. Current output accuracy is maintained within ±0.5%, with a stable, jitter-free waveform; short-term surge currents can reach 2,500 A, meeting short-term overload testing standards.

The unit employs an air-cooled heat dissipation design, with a maximum temperature rise of ≤45°C during full-load operation and strong interference resistance. Equipped with a large digital display, it allows real-time monitoring of key parameters such as current, time, and temperature, and supports timed output and automatic power-off protection, making operation simple and intuitive. This equipment is primarily suitable for current-carrying tests, temperature rise tests, and short-time withstand current tests on power equipment such as circuit breakers, bus ducts, and switchgear.

Efficient Delivery and On-Site Service Earn Customer Trust

From receiving the request from the Shandong client to the arrival of the equipment on-site and the completion of testing, Jinhao Hipot demonstrated highly efficient responsiveness. As a company with over 20 years of professional manufacturing experience in high-voltage power testing equipment, Jinhao Hipot is committed to independent R&D and enforces strict 100% factory inspection. For this on-site testing in Shandong, the company dispatched a professional technical team to provide full-process support, ensuring the testing process was conducted in accordance with standards and that the data was accurate and reliable.

The equipment features a modular design, with the main unit, control console, and current booster packaged separately in standard wooden crates that provide shock and moisture protection. The equipment supports dual-frequency operation at 50 Hz and 60 Hz, has an IP30 protection rating, and can operate stably in environments ranging from -10°C to 45°C. These characteristics enable rapid deployment and stable operation at various power engineering sites.
