Winding Resistance Deformation Tester

Winding Resistance Deformation Tester

Even if a winding does not fail immediately after undergoing localized deformation, it may still harbor serious potential for future failure. If a transformer with a deformed winding continues to operate, it may fail due to overvoltage or short-circuit surges, and in some cases, it may even burn out spontaneously during operation. Therefore, the HM5010 Transformer Winding Deformation Tester was developed by Goldhome to meet on-site needs, drawing on similar products from both domestic and international markets while incorporating the specific requirements of China’s power system. It features multi-channel waveform display and provides clear and concise test data.

4. After selecting the winding, excitation terminal, and response terminal, choose the test curve (Curve 1 is selected by default). Once the curve position is selected, press the "Start" button to begin the test. Upon completion, the instrument will display a save dialog box; click "OK" to complete the test process. (Note: Saved files will be organized into folders named according to the project unit, test location, and transformer model specified in the settings bar, with filenames consisting of the winding, excitation, response, and test time.)

To continue testing the next winding, check Curves 2 through 9 in sequence. All selected curves will be displayed simultaneously in the curve window in different colors for easy waveform comparison. After testing is complete, the "Data Analysis" table provides a clear overview of the standard deviation data for Curves 1–3, Curves 4–6, and Curves 7–9, along with winding status indicators in different colors. See Figure (IV)

6. Once all tests are complete, click the "Report" button to generate a test report. The report is in Word format.

7. To shut down the tester, first exit the software, then turn off the PC, and finally turn off the power switch.
