HV AC RESONANT TEST SYSTEM

The HMCXZ-13200kVA/100kV is a high-power variable-frequency series resonance test system primarily used for AC withstand voltage testing of high-voltage electrical equipment such as 110kV and 220kV power cables, power transformers, GIS, circuit breakers, insulators, and high-voltage transformers.

• Utilizing the principle of LC series resonance, the system relies on the resonance between the inductance of the high-voltage reactor and the capacitance of the test specimen to generate the high voltage and high current required for testing within the circuit.
• The test power supply compensates only for active power losses in the circuit; the required power supply is only 1/Q of the test capacity, significantly reducing the on-site power load.
• The resonant circuit possesses inherent filtering capabilities, producing a high-quality sine wave to prevent accidental breakdown of the test specimen caused by harmonics.
• When the test specimen experiences insulation breakdown or flashover, the circuit immediately detunes, causing the circuit current to drop abruptly to 1/Q of the normal value, thereby preventing large short-circuit currents from damaging the fault point. At the same time, the high voltage disappears rapidly, eliminating recovery overvoltage and comprehensively protecting the safety of the test specimen, equipment, and personnel.
