Goldhome HMCXZ-2500KVA/250KV High-Voltage Series Resonance Test System Successfully Completed On-Site Commissioning and Put Into Operation

Recently, Goldhome's high-end high-voltage testing equipment portfolio has added another landmark case. The HMCXZ-2500KVA/250KV high-voltage series resonance test system was successfully delivered to the customer's project site. The entire process-including equipment installation, wiring, system integration testing, actual withstand voltage testing, and acceptance training-was completed. All performance indicators met standards on the first attempt, and the system has been officially put into routine use for high-voltage power testing.

The HMCXZ-2500KVA/250kV large-scale variable-frequency series resonance test system deployed in this project is a specialized withstand voltage testing device custom-designed for high-capacity, high-voltage applications. It is primarily suitable for AC withstand voltage insulation testing of capacitive test specimens such as 220kV and above long-distance high-voltage cables, GIS (Gas-Insulated Switchgear), large main transformers, and generator sets. It is widely used in high-standard scenarios such as new substation handover, factory acceptance testing for power plants, and operation, maintenance, and repair of power engineering projects.

The complete system consists of four major modules: a variable-frequency controlled power supply, an excitation transformer, a high-voltage resonant reactor, and a capacitive voltage divider. It features a modular dry-type configuration with a compact layout and easy assembly/disassembly, allowing for on-site setup without the need for large lifting equipment. It is adaptable to various complex operational environments, including construction sites, industrial parks, and outdoor locations. Compared to traditional testing equipment, this system leverages the principle of series resonance, requiring only one-tenth of the test specimen's rated power. This effectively addresses the challenge of insufficient on-site power supply capacity, offering energy efficiency, high performance, and enhanced adaptability.

During on-site commissioning, the Goldhome technical team strictly adhered to industry testing standards and technical protocol requirements to conduct fully automated frequency-sweep resonance locking, step-by-step voltage ramp-up testing, waveform quality verification, and long-term stability tests under load. On-site measurements confirmed that the equipment's output waveforms were clean with low distortion rates, voltage ramp-up was smooth and fluctuation-free, and frequency control was precise. Multiple protection mechanisms-including overvoltage, overcurrent, flashover, and zero-point protection-responded sensitively, enabling rapid current limiting and power disconnection the moment a test specimen broke down, thereby ensuring the safety of equipment, personnel, and test specimens at the source.

Concurrently, technical personnel conducted systematic hands-on training for the client's testing staff, providing detailed explanations of the equipment's structural principles, fully automated testing procedures, parameter configuration methods, test data storage and export, daily inspection and maintenance, and safety protocols. This ensures the client's team can independently perform various high-voltage withstand tests, simplifying future operation and maintenance.
