The HMCJ 400 kV/20 kJ surge generator is suitable for full-wave and truncated-wave lightning impulse tests on power products such as high-voltage switchgear, circuit breakers, load switches, reactors, and power transformers rated at 3.3 to 22.5 kV and below, to evaluate the products' surge insulation performance.
